Can you get tumours in the hand?
Lumps and bumps in the hand are very common. Often, the cause is a lesion of the skin, or a cyst originating from a joint or tendon. Very rarely, tumours of the hand are cancerous.
Careful physical examination by a hand surgeon is often enough to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan. Imaging such as x-rays, ultrasound or MRI are needed in some cases to help with the diagnosis.
If you have a lump or swelling in your hand, please get in touch to have it assessed as soon as you can.
